When I look at the floor in my house I see a tired looking slate that is long overdue for stripping and resealing and, despite it being vacuumed and mopped on Friday, looks like it could do with a good clean.
Offspring #2 saw something entirely different. She came to me this afternoon well pleased with her discovery that the layout of the slate was ready made for hopscotch. And that kept her entertained for a good half hour!
