We've done our traditional Fast Food Filthy Friday - home made hamburgers for dinner, no bath for the kids - and now the kids and the kitten are fast asleep, Hubby's catching up for a beer with a friend and I'm about the hit the couch and indulge in some crappy television
I am so looking forward to the weekend. We don't have any big plans and I'm hoping to enjoy some down time and get a few chores done. Hubby tells me I'll be driving the compactor tomorrow afternoon - another side benefit of his injured arm! - and then we'll be setting up the new water tanks. My boy has his first training session for footy season, my girl has swimming lessons, playdates are being organised and I have some baking to do. So, despite no big plans, it'll still be busy.
What are you up to for the weekend? Fun, boring, or duty?

WOw what a busy weekend!! We don't have much planned either - just some around the house stuff. On Sunday I have a hen's lunch in the swan valley that I am looking forward to.

Mine was duty/boring. I was on call this weekend, and also had to get all the paperwork for my income taxes together (thank goodness that is done!)
Bright spot was the lentil soup I made tonight for dinner. It was a Nigel Slater recipe and is probably the best I've ever made. Yum.
