We've been back in our real house a couple of months and everything has been unpacked and had homes found. Now we get down to the nitty-gritty of re-arranging furniture and 'stuff', finding better homes for bits and pieces that aren't quite in the right spot and making a few little improvements here and there. We have some fairly grand plans but they're a little way off yet so for now it's just the little stuff.
The lights in the kitchen used to look like this.
Now we have these pretty ones.
The kids bathroom got a fab new shower curtain. It's lots more fun to wash with the fish than it was with a plain white curtain from the $2 Shop!
And the kids bedrooms got lovely big cube bookcases, with some bright coloured baskets and buckets, for their books, toys and games.
Now everything has a place.
And there's a place for everything.

Oh that's right! Go and be all efficient on all of us UNorganised peoples... you're far to clever by half lol ;-)
Big call on the wedding dress by the way... not that I know (not having wedding dress and all), I do however happen to have my dress uniform in the cupboard. My 2's - my best dress sailor suit!
It SHOULD go and all - but I just can't, I spent a fair bit of time in it, and it's a funny thing! Some mate I knew, ditched their uniform as soon as it ceased to be anything remotely useful to them. I just could do it... maybe that's the same thing.
One day, I'll get hold of a couple of mates of mine who I know have their sailor kit, and I'll get e'm to have one last 'run' in it, where we get to say goodbye to that part of our past. But - not just yet eh! ;-)
How very organised of you. I have a place for everything, but everything rarely stays in it's place. I don't do neat very well.
Nice one.
Those shelves for the kida are great. We have ones like that for Monet...I wonder how long it will take 'your' children to just shove anything anywhere? *heehee*
Hey Ron! Long time no see. Sorry, us anally-retentive types are just like that LOL. As for the dress uniform - you'll know when the time comes, I promise.
LOL Chantalle. I could just hear you saying it with the sarcasm dripping :) If you'd seen the house today you'd know those pics were an exception rather than the norm for the brat-kids known as my offspring.
Hi Melody - read the reply to Chantalle and you'll have your answer!
