We have ki...Hey Iris - Kindy is before school here. We have kindy which is a couple of days/week then pre-primary, which is full-time and both are very much recommended but optional. Then 'proper' compulsory school starts the year they turn 6. Primary school is years 1-7 (approx ages 6-12years old) and secondary school is years 8-12 (approx 13-17 years old).
